ABOUT ALLEN MENTORING

History

Allen Mentoring, a one-on-one faith-based program was created to serve children and teens that, range in age from 6-13 and often struggle to resist tremendous pressures of urban life. These are children who, without the guidance and friendship of a concerned adult, might easily take any number of turns in life that may not be conducive to a successful transition from child/teen to a mature and accomplished young adult. Studies have shown that a positive one-on-one relationship is the best way to reach youngsters, as well as greatly increase the child’s chances of success.

Our program encompasses the following components:

  • Mentoring Children of Incarcerated parents
  • Mentoring Children in Foster Care
  • Boys and Girls Rites of Passage Programs
